“The Emissary of 10,000 Things” to be published by Pithead Chapel

Hello Friends,

I returned home to Colorado from Jentel Artist Residency two short days ago. My time at Jentel was so incredibly productive and creatively nourishing, it’ll be hard to ever quantify the benefit to me personally as an artist. But I do have some very quantifiable amazing results from my experience already! Pithead Chapel has accepted my essay “The Emissary of 10,000 Things” for publication in their May issue. This short essay explores mindfulness and desire through the eyes of two specific birds that I’ve watched, a Stellar’s Jay and a Cardinal, and I’m proud to say it was written, revised, and submitted for publication during my time at Jentel! Like so much else, picture is purely for beauty.
