Copywriting Best Practices

For editing and writing projects, I approach the work first and foremost by identifying that writer or company’s distinct voice, personality, and of course, their goals for the copywriting project. I strive to effectively capture their voice in all copy written on their behalf, or in the case of editing, to edit with an eye of clarifying and amplifying their voice and particular messages.

Often, business owners and individuals can come very close to articulating what they want to say in their writing, but do not have the training to highlight their values, goals, and message in the most efficient and empowering way. Like most “casual” writers, they get in their own way.

The value I can offer is taking their rough material and making sure it says everything it needs to in the most efficient, logically sound, and aesthetically pleasing way, leaving the client to focus their energy on providing the best services, products, and on growing their business.
